Love the Lake Outreach - Sept 4-5 THIS WEEKEND

Love the Lake Festival is in Cauble Park at Lake Acworth THIS weekend, Sat 10am-6pm & Sun noon - 6pm.  We will have a VNC tent and table where we give away free items, wear our VNC t-shirts, face paint and just love on the community.  A parade kicks off the event at 10am Sat and we will be participating with a 1960 El Camino.  It's fun for the whole family!  Connect groups are serving together in 2 hour time slots but anyone can also join to help.  Email events@victorynorth.org to sign up.  Go here for Love the Lake info.

VNC 212 Youth Joining VWC 2212 for Fall IGNITE - Friday, Sept 10, 7pm & Sat, Sept 11, 10am

Ignite is a weekend conference deliberately planned to help youth collide with God's passion and plan for their lives.  Join churches from around Atlanta for what has proven to be a catalyst for revival in our community.  The cost is only $10 including lunch on Saturday.  Sign up on Sundays or come by the office.  *Travel details and more info to follow. 

Must Ministries Food Drive - Sept 5 - 19

MUST Ministries is in urgent need of food items!  The need in the last month is up over 200% from last year's numbers and they are finding it extremely hard to keep up.

Here is a list of needed items:

  • Canned chicken, ham, tuna, salmon, or protein of any kind
  • Flour
  • Instant potatoes
  • Jelly
  • Dry milk
  • Oatmeal, grits, etc.
  • Canned vegetables
  • Spagetti sauce, canned spaghetti meals, tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • Dry beans
  • Rice
  • Boxed dinners: mac & cheese, spaghetti, etc. 

Let's show MUST Ministries and our community that Victory North really cares.  Bring a bag or two of canned and boxed food items to church over the next two Sundays or to the church office during office hours.  YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A HUGE IMPACT!   

ChikChat at Victory World Church - Friday, September 17, 7:30pm

Ladies of Victory North, join together and carpool to VWC in Norcross for ChickChat with Pastor Colleen on Friday, Sept 17th, at 7:30pm in the Main Auditorium.  Enjoy this "girl time" of praise and worship, interactive discussion and the famous ChickChat Coffeehouse.  This event is FREE and no registration is required unless you need childcare for which you must register your children at www.victoryatl.com - only $5/child or $10/family.

Camp Gideon Discovery Day Camp - September 20 - 24

Camp Gideon’s Discovery Day Camp for kids ages 5-11 will be held September 20th-24th. Campers get to choose their daily classes from a wide range of activities such as crafts, sports, fishing, canoeing, nature, the rock wall and more! The cost is $125 and registration is available online at www.campgideon.com.

Job/Career Fair - Wednesday, Sept 22, 10am - 3pm

The fair is presented by Papa's Pantry and The Master's Training Center in conjunction with Goodwill of N GA.  It will take place at Hillside United Methodist Church, 4474 Towne Lake Pkwy, Woodstock, GA  30189 from 10am - 3pm.  Several hundred job openings will be represented from small to large companies:  AT&T, Comcast, Lowes & Macys, just to name a few.  Employment strategies and resource topics will be presented at breakout sessions throughout the event.  Job seekers can pre-register here by Monday, Sept 20 at 5pm and print their ticket to participate in the drawing for a $50 gas card.  A special Job Fair Prep class will be taught at TMC 9/15, 10-12.  Please visit papaspantry.org or themasterstrainingcenter.com or call 770-591-4730 for more information.

Papa's Pantry - for families who are struggling

Victory North is a monthly supporter of Papa's Pantry in Woodstock, GA.  Their mission is to apply Biblical principles to help families get on their feet.  Besides groceries, they provide workforce preparation, budgeting, nutrition, mentoring and Bible studies.  Check them out at http://www.papaspantry.org/ or call 770-591-4730.  Be aware that they work by appointment only.
